Learn traditional processes of building a painting by copying Master works using a direct painting technique. By studying some of the methods of your favorite Old Master painters, you’ll gain a solid foundation in constructing your own compositions. Working in oil paint on canvas, participants will explore some of the fundamentals of this rich and versatile medium such as ebauché, or underpainting; transparency and opacity; color palettes materials and more. Instructor demonstrations and one-on-one critiques.
